Number of Members, Terms of Office, and Filling of Vacancies
The Board of Education shall consist of nine members. No more than six members shall be of the same political party.
Terms of Office
Their terms of office shall be four (4) years in length.
Filling of Vacancies
The Board of Education shall fill its own vacancies by nomination and election. Notice of a vacancy shall be given to the members in advance of the meeting at which such vacancy will be filled. A majority vote of the members present shall elect. The term of office of a member elected to fill a vacancy shall be to the next local election, at which time the member, or a replacement, will be elected to complete the unexpired term.
