Parent Agreement

I/We hereby agree to comply with the New Hartford Public Schools Acceptable Use Policy, as described above. As a parent or guardian, I hereby consent to my child's or ward's use of New Hartford Public School technology resources. I/we also agree to hold New Hartford Public School harmless for any damages suffered by my child/ward, including those arising from non-deliveries, misdeliveries, service interruptions, unauthorized use, loss of data, and exposure to potentially harmful or inappropriate material or people arising from or connected to the use of New Hartford Public School technology resources.

This document remains valid as long as my child is a student in the New Hartford Public Schools. Parents will be reminded annually of this policy in the /student handbook and the school registration form.

Student Agreement

I accept responsibility to abide by the rules outlined by the Acceptable Use Agreement and agree to follow these rules when using electronic resources:

1.  I will use the resources only under the supervision or with the permission of my teacher or another staff member.

2.  I will use the resources in a respectful, responsible, and safe manner following all school rules.

3.  I will use the technology resources only for educational and research purposes, and I understand that I will be held responsible for any damages caused by unreasonable usage.

4.  I will not share personal information about myself or others such as last name, address, or phone number.

5.  I will respect the property of the school and of others.

6.  I will not access my home accounts from school.

7.  If I do not follow these rules, I know that there will be consequences.  For example, I may lose my privilege to use the technology at school.

8.  I will immediately report any problems to school personnel.
