The purpose of the ______________ Schools Public Access Message Board is to inform the public of upcoming special events in our schools and non-profit organizations’ events having educational impact.  The aim is to promote a positive image of our public schools and community.

Events posted on the district’s public access message board shall be governed by the following regulations.

Contents may include events such as plays, performances, fairs, PTO/PTA meetings, parent-teacher conferences, open houses, championship or tournament sporting events, non-regularly scheduled school athletic events and other special events, having an educational impact. Fund raising events are limited to one fund raiser event notice at a time per school or per group. Such notices shall not include information pertaining to the sale of products or provide for the direct solicitation of monies. No editorial content, political announcements, solicitation, classified or personal advertisements will be accepted. If a questionable submission is received, it will be reviewed at the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Public Cable Access Channel Advisory Board. (or in an emergency situation by the Superintendent or his/her designee.)

The message board will be updated weekly during the school year. Messages will be aired two (2) weeks prior to the event. Message board notices must be submitted three (3) weeks prior to the event. The school principal’s signature is required on the submission form. An authorized signature is required on all requests from an outside non-profit organization.
